Grading success continues – Port Talbot course October 2022

Early on Sunday morning, 2 October, five intrepid Oxford Aikikai members left the city, collecting a sixth about 20 miles down the road. We were heading to the Port Talbot grading course, lead by Don Morgan and Wayne Price.

After a good practice, including an unusual form of sankyo from Wayne, four of the six took gradings, along with one local (well done Judith passing 6 Kyu).

All from Oxford passed as well: Gemma (6 Kyu), Steve (6 Kyu), Pawel (4 Kyu) and Brian (3 Kyu). An excellent effort in a surprisingly warm dojo, on the non-slip dense foam mats (shiko is so difficult in those conditions!).

A very big thank you to Chris for organising transport and driving us all there and back again.
