DESCRIPTION:Interested in starting a martial art? Try out Aikido at this fr
 ee introductory session for adults of all ages and fitness levels at our b
 eginner-friendly dojo in Oxford!\n\n\n\nAikido is a defensive martial art 
 that uses body movement to deflect attacks with minimal force. You'll lear
 n pins\, locks\, throws\, and break-falls as part of this dynamic\, non-co
 mpetitive art.\n\nThis introductory session will include a beginner's clas
 s of core techniques and a demonstration of the breadth of techniques that
  Aikido has to offer. You are welcome to join the practice or come along t
 o watch. If you would like to practice\, please wear loose-fitting clothes
  with long sleeves and legs\, and remove any jewelry.\n\nThe session will 
 take place at the dojo in the Iffley Road Sports Centre in Oxford. There a

DESCRIPTION:A little earlier than usual this year is the BAF Summer School\
 , once again being held in Chester.\n\nThis is a time for practice with th
 e visiting instructor from Hombu Dojo\, Japan\, as well as a variety of se
 nior instructors from the UK.\n\nHeld in the university in Chester this br
 ings clubs from all over the UK as well as international visitors. Summer 
 school is as big a social event as it is for Aikido practice.\n\nAs the ma
 in opportunity for senior gradings (1st kyu and above) Chester is the plac
 e to see what may expected in a few grades time\, or to take the step and 
 achieve your next goal. (Grading applications for yudansha have to be subm
 itted by Spring Course). Of course 6th kyu to 2nd kyu gradings may also be
  taken at Summer School.\n\nWe usually stop club practice for the week whi
 le our instructors are at summer school - so come and join the fun!
